Privacy Policy

01 Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Tip Out (the "Application" or "Service") handles information when You use Our mobile app. Your house book — hours, sales, cash handed from the till, and house cuts — stays on Your Device. Apart from that book, the Application may ask permission to send notifications and, if You allow it, to measure the install.

By using the Service, You agree to the practices described in this Policy. If You do not agree, please discontinue use of the Application.

02 Application Context

Every hour. Every role. Every chit. Tip Out is a mobile close: You drop sales into the Drawer, pin people on the Line, read seven nights on the Week, play Last Light after close, and keep House Rules. Venue name, staff names, hours, sales, house percents, cash passed out of the till, house-book marks, contested chits, short-night reasons, presets, and game scores are intended to stay on Your Device unless You choose to contact Us by email, export the house book, or tear a slip Yourself.

03 Definitions

Application means Tip Out, the software program provided by Us.

Company ("We", "Us" or "Our") refers to Tip Out.

Country refers to: United Kingdom.

Device means any device that can access the Service (for example a smartphone or tablet).

You means the individual using the Service, or the legal entity on whose behalf that individual uses the Service, as applicable.

04 Information Stored on Your Device

Your venue name, staff names and monograms, roles, hours, early cuts, floor / bar / kitchen sales, house percents, cash handed from the till, house-book marks, contested chits, shift notes, short-night reasons, night presets, rounding rules, Last Light scores, sound and haptics, onboarding completion, and similar close data are stored locally on Your Device.

We do not require an account to use the Application. We do not upload that house book to Our servers as part of normal use. Device and install details described below are separate from the shift sheet.

We do not collect:

No portraits: People on the Line are a name, a monogram, and a thread color. Camera and photo library are used only as described under Permissions, when a page opened in the Application asks to attach a picture.

Tear and share (optional): You may share a close slip as text or export the house book as a local JSON sheet using the system share sheet. Sharing is under Your control and governed by Apple's policies for those surfaces.

05 Permissions

The Application asks for a permission only when a feature needs it. You may decline. You can change a choice later in iOS Settings.

Tracking. On first open, iOS may ask whether Tip Out may track Your activity across apps and websites owned by other companies. If You allow tracking, We may read the advertising identifier (IDFA). That identifier may be shared with the attribution service below, and it may be sent when the Application requests this Policy. If You decline, We do not read the IDFA. A request for this Policy then carries a blank identifier of zeros. You can change this under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Notifications. The Application may then ask to send notifications. If You allow them, Apple provides a device token so a notice can reach this phone. If You decline, We do not deliver pushes. You can turn notices off later under Settings → Notifications → Tip Out.

Camera and photos. The Application does not photograph the Line. The camera and photo library are available only when a page opened inside the Application asks to attach a picture. You can deny that system prompt. A picture chosen there is handled by that page. It is not written into the local house book by Us.

06 Third-Party Services

The house book is not uploaded as part of normal use. The Application does use the services below. They receive limited device and install information, not Your shift sheet. We do not sell Your information.

AppsFlyer measures installs and sessions. It may receive an AppsFlyer install identifier, the iOS identifier for vendor, device model, operating-system version, app version, bundle identifier, language, time zone, ATT status, and, only if You allow tracking, the advertising identifier. AppsFlyer may also use Apple's SKAdNetwork, which does not reveal Your identity to Us. AppsFlyer's privacy policy is at appsflyer.com/legal/privacy-policy.

OneSignal delivers push notifications. If notifications are enabled, it may receive the device push token, whether notices are allowed, language, time zone, device model, operating-system version, app version, and an external identifier set to the same AppsFlyer install identifier, so a notice stays tied to this install. OneSignal's privacy policy is at onesignal.com/privacy_policy.

This Policy page. When the Application checks or opens this Policy, it may send the bundle identifier, the AppsFlyer install identifier, a user agent that describes the device model and iOS version, Your preferred languages, and Your time zone. If tracking is allowed, it may also send the advertising identifier. The in-app browser may store cookies for this page on Your Device so the page can be shown again. Those cookies stay on the Device.

The Application may also open the system share sheet when You choose to share a slip. That surface is governed by Apple's policies.

07 Reset and Support

You may reset the house from House Rules ("Reset everything"), which clears shifts, people, and presets on the Device subject to iOS behaviour. The venue name, sound, haptics, lamp, and Last Light scores may remain until You change them. You may replay the welcome without wiping the book. Declining tracking or notifications does not erase the local house book.

If You contact Us by email, We will use the information You provide only to respond to that request.

08 Security

Data stored on Your Device is protected by Your device's operating system and any security features You enable. No method of electronic storage is completely secure; We encourage You to keep Your Device updated and protected.

09 Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 through the Application. If You believe a child has contacted Us inappropriately, please reach out and We will take appropriate steps.

10 Links to Other Websites

The Application or Our communications may occasionally reference external websites operated by third parties. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.

11 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy in the Application or on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
